Ableton Live - Motions

Motions is a collection of 50 lo-fi ambient patches for Ableton Live, designed for ambient music, soundtracks, and unique textural elements. Built from 128 recorded samples—sourced from cassette loops, granular synths, and guitar pedals—these patches combine rich sound design with custom-built effect chains.

As the name suggests, Motions focuses on movement and evolving textures, with sounds drawn from guitar loops, Moog Matriarch notes, and Eurorack phrases. These samples are looped and stretched across the keyboard, allowing wide chords to create layered, evolving textures. Random Generator patches use Ableton’s random LFO and arpeggiator to generate organic, ever-changing soundscapes. Each preset includes 2-5 Macro Variations for instant sound adjustments.

Custom Ableton effects racks, including a tape emulator, quad delay, and shimmer reverb, enhance the samples with lo-fi textures and creative modulation. Motions offers a unique palette of expressive, playable sounds for producers seeking depth and movement in their music.
