‘Classic Prophet’ by SwanAudio – a pack of 150 sounds for U-he Repro-5. capturing the spirit of the Sequential Prophet 5 across a massive range of classic analogue style sounds inspired by its use over the last 40 years.

A comprehensive study through the Prophet musical history was taken, cherry picking the best sounds used in both hits and hidden gems, and then added to that a score of original Swan Audio sounds in keeping with the classic analogue style. 

The Prophet 5 is such a versatile, amazing sounding synth it is no wonder it was used by artists from Radiohead to Phil Collins, and from George Clinton to John Carpenter…This collection, combined with the latest emulation technology used in RePro5 makes for an unmissable analogue-like experience ‘in the box’ that will generate some genuine ‘wow’ moments when you play them…

The sounds often have gentle velocity sensitivity to aid phrasing, and judicious use of the excellent effects which enhance but don’t overpower the tone of the synth. Musicality is the most important end point so the sounds are not always slavishly held within the Prophet 5 voice limits, although for total authenticity the voices can be easily restricted to 5 and effects bypassed.

Many presets have classic Prophet style vibrato, or a little added dimension with the mod wheel. RePro 5 also has some extended features such as voice panning and oscillator variations which have been mildly explored whilst keeping to the ‘classic analogue’ ethos…
