Spire is a clean, modern-sounding synth, so the 80s colour comes from the programming: soft attacks and long releases on the filter envelopes, plus generous helpings of phaser, chorus and plate-style reverb. Every sound is level matched and EQ'd to drop into a mix. For polished, neon-lit synthwave it's just the ticket. If you're after analogue grit, our Repro-5 Outrun packs are the other route.
