Acon Digital - Acoustica 8 Ultimate

Acoustica 8 Ultimate is the top edition of Acon Digital's audio editor for Mac, Windows and Linux. It takes immersive editing up to 9.1.6 and bundles nearly the whole Acon plugin range, for post-production and Atmos work.

The editor

Acoustica 8 is a full audio editor rather than a DAW: waveform and spectral editing, multitrack, and a clip-based workflow with stereo and spectral clip editing. You can paint out a cough or a chair squeak in the spectral view, edit across tracks, and master to the finished file without leaving the program. With ARA in a compatible DAW it opens directly on the track you're working on.

What Ultimate adds

Everything in Premium, with multichannel support raised from 7.1.2 to 9.1.6, plus DeVerberate 3, Verberate Immersive and DeFilter. That's the full Acon post toolkit: dialogue cleanup, de-reverb, restoration, corrective EQ and an Atmos-ready reverb, inside one editor and as plugins for your DAW.

Who it's for

Re-recording mixers, post houses and Atmos engineers. For stereo or 7.1.2 work, Premium does the job for a lot less.
