Acon Digital - Remix

Remix is Acon Digital's real-time AI stem separation plugin for Mac and Windows. It splits a finished mix into five stems (vocals, piano, bass, drums and other) and gives each a fader.

Real time, in the session

Most stem splitters are offline: upload or render, wait, then import the stems. Remix runs as an insert with low latency, so you just move the faders and hear the result. Drop the vocal for an instrumental bed, pull the drums down to hear a bassline you're learning, or solo the piano to sample it.

How clean is it?

It's good, not magic. Dense mixes will leave some spill between stems, and a sensitivity control per stem lets you trade separation against artefacts. For sampling, remixing, practice and DJ edits it's more than up to the job. For a release-quality a cappella, check it on your material with the demo first.

Routing

In supported hosts each stem can go out on its own output, so you can put reverb on the vocal and sidechain the bass to the kick, all from a stereo file.
