Acon Digital - Verberate Immersive 2

Verberate Immersive 2 is the surround and 3D version of Acon Digital's Verberate 2 algorithmic reverb, for Dolby Atmos, spatial audio and multichannel mixes up to 9.1.6 on Mac and Windows. It's turned up on big film and Atmos music mixes for a reason: it sounds natural and it's light on CPU.

Vivid Hall

The core algorithm is time-variant, meaning the reverb structure shifts subtly as it decays, as the air and surfaces in a real room do. The result is a dense, smooth tail without the metallic ringing that static reverbs pick up on sustained material. The original Legacy Hall algorithm is still there too.

Built for the speaker layout

Early reflections and the tail are separate processors, and each, along with the dry signal, can be placed in the surround field with its own panner and divergence control. That lets you keep the reflections close to the source and spread the tail around the room, which is what makes an Atmos mix feel like a space rather than a stereo reverb copied into every speaker.

Who it's for

Atmos music, film dialogue and Foley, and game audio. Convolution reverbs at 7.1.4 and above can bring a session to its knees, and this is a much lighter alternative. If you only mix in stereo, Verberate 2 is the same sound for less money.
