Audiomodern - Exodus Playbeat 4 Expansion

Exodus is a cinematic percussion expansion for Audiomodern Playbeat 4 on Mac and Windows, made by film and game composer Tobi Weiss, with 40 unlocked presets and more than 250 samples for composers who need action rhythms fast.

Trailer drums in a drum machine

Weiss mixes big, hybrid hits with electronic pulses and textural sound design, so the kits cover brooding sci-fi beds as well as full-tilt chase cues. The useful trick is that Playbeat treats them like any other kit: randomise and you get a new rhythmic figure that already sounds scored, which is a quick way to fill a cue that needs momentum under strings or synth ostinatos. The sounds are heavy and wide, so leave space in the low mids.

Who it's for

Composers working to picture and games, and electronic producers after a cinematic build. Club producers will get less out of it.
