Audiomodern - Soundbox Morphia

Morphia is an Audiomodern Soundbox library of cinematic hits, impacts, drones and atmospheric design elements for Mac and Windows, for trailer, game and film composers who need sound design ready to play from a keyboard. It runs inside Soundbox, Audiomodern's free MPE sampler.

Runs in Soundbox

Soundbox is free from Audiomodern and Morphia is a library for it. Each preset can stack four layers with separate effects, and the vector pad morphs between them, which is handy for pulling a drone from calm to menacing over a few bars. Buying Morphia also unlocks Soundbox's mapping and sample editors, so you can drop your own hits in alongside the factory ones.

What's in it

1.48 GB of audio across 21 unlocked presets, sorted into atmospheric design elements, hits, impacts, low key elements, textures and tonal impacts. The hits and impacts are the big transient material you land on a cut or a title card. The drones and textures are for the bed underneath. Because Soundbox lets you mix and match layers, you can put a low drone and a tonal impact in one preset and play the whole cue from one track.

Who it's for

Trailer, game and action composers who want a compact kit of cinematic sound design. At 21 presets it's smaller than the dedicated trailer libraries, and it's priced accordingly.
