Martinic - Elka Panther

Martinic Elka Panther is a modelled plugin of the Elka Panther, a 1960s Italian combo organ, for producers who want a raw, reedy organ sound with real vintage character. It comes with the rare Lem Echo Music tape delay built in.

Italian combo organs are thinner and buzzier than a Hammond, and that's the point. They sit on top of a mix rather than filling it, which makes them great for garage, psych and retro pop, and surprisingly useful layered under synths. Martinic have modelled the Panther 300 (also sold as the Capri) and included the Panther 100 engine as well.

Stops and harmony section

Thirteen treble stops in four ranks (16', 8', 4' and Mixture) plus two bass stops. The harmony controls let you vary the level of each footage continuously rather than just switching it in, and the two Mixture voices, Harsh and Mellow, each combine three pitches. A tone decay switch adds a percussive attack to the Mixture tabs.

Echo, amp and vibrato

The Lem Echo Music tape delay comes with its own two-channel mixer, tone controls and pan. There's onboard vibrato, an optical swell pedal and vintage tube amp and cabinet emulations to rough it up.
