McDSP - MC2000 Multi-Band Compressor HD

The McDSP MC2000 is a multi-band compressor with two, three and four band versions, built on the CompressorBank algorithms. It's for engineers who want multi-band control with the ability to give each band a different compressor character.

CompressorBank in every band

Each band has CompressorBank's full set of controls, including Knee and Bite, and its choice of peak detection circuits. That means one band can behave like a dbx 165 style compressor, another like a Neve 33609 style and another like an LA-2A style. The crossovers are steep 24 dB/oct filters taken from FilterBank, which keeps the bands from bleeding into each other.

The sound

Flexible and characterful. The MC2000 is good at controlling a boomy low end on a mix bus while leaving the top alone, or taming a harsh band in a vocal. Every band's metering, gain reduction and crossover display are visible at once, so it's easy to see what's going on.

HD or Native?

HD adds AAX DSP, so it runs on Pro Tools HDX cards and Avid VENUE S6L live consoles as well as natively on your computer. If you don't have HDX hardware, MC2000 Multi-Band Compressor Native does the same job for less.
