McDSP - SPC2000 Serial/Parallel Compressor Native

The McDSP SPC2000 combines several compressors in one plug-in and lets you run them in series, in parallel or a mix of both. It's for engineers who build drum and vocal sounds from more than one stage of compression.

How it works

Each compressor has the same compression curve modelling and choice of peak detection circuits as McDSP's CompressorBank, so each can take on a different character. Arrange them in serial and parallel combinations, and link their controls when you want to move several at once.

The sound

Perfect for the classic parallel drum trick: one compressor smashing the kit, another gently controlling it, blended together in one instance. It's just as useful for serial vocal compression, with a fast peak catcher into a slower leveller.

Native or HD?

Native runs on your computer in AAX Native, AU and VST3, which is all most studios need. If you mix on Pro Tools HDX or an Avid VENUE S6L, SPC2000 Serial/Parallel Compressor HD adds AAX DSP support.
