Serato - DJ Pro

Serato DJ Pro is Serato's flagship DJ software, for club, mobile and open-format DJs who want the industry-standard booth software running their controller or mixer. Version 5 brings Lucid Beatgrids, Open Streaming and Cue Loops on top of real-time Stems.

Serato's reputation was built on stability, and that's still the reason it's in so many booths: it loads fast, it doesn't fall over mid-set, and it plays nicely with over 150 certified controllers, mixers and turntables. Plug in supported hardware and it maps itself.

Stems

Split any track into vocals, melody, bass and drums in real time and play each part from its own pad. Pull an acapella over an instrumental, drop the drums for a breakdown, or build a live remix nobody can quite place. Dense mixes can leave a little smearing on the edges, as with any real-time separation, but in a live set it holds up well.

Lucid Beatgrids and Cue Loops

The new beatgrid engine tracks tempo changes through a track, so live-played funk, disco and soul records with a drifting tempo finally grid properly. Cue Loops fire a hot cue and a loop from the same marker with one pad press.

Streaming and library

Apple Music, Beatport, SoundCloud, Spotify and Tidal sit alongside your local files, and Open Streaming lets you use more than one service in the same set. Crates, history and iOS Transfer for Serato DJ for iOS keep the library side tidy.

Pro or Suite?

DJ Pro covers everything most controller DJs need. DVS for turntables and CDJs, Pitch 'n Time DJ, Video and Flip are Expansions, and Pitch 'n Time DJ is only available as part of Serato DJ Suite. If you want two or more Expansions, the Suite is the better buy.
