Wave Arts - MR Hum 6

MR Hum 6 is a hum and buzz removal plugin for Mac and Windows. It cleans up mains hum, ground loop buzz and rumble on recordings, with no latency.

Precise notch filtering

Hum sits at the mains frequency, 50 Hz in the UK, plus its harmonics. MR Hum places a set of notch filters on the fundamental and up to 10 harmonics, with adjustable widths. The fundamental can be set anywhere from 20 to 200 Hz, which matters for old tape where the hum has drifted off 50 or 60. A separate buzz remover handles the harsher stuff.

Check what you're removing

Brickwall filters take out rumble and hiss, and a high-resolution spectrum display shows the hum spikes before and after. Every section can be monitored on its own so you can hear exactly what's being taken away. A simple, effective tool.
