Cherry Audio - Blue3 Organ

Blue3 Organ is a modelled tonewheel organ plugin, originally by GG Audio and now relaunched by Cherry Audio, for authentic B-3 style sounds in blues, gospel, jazz, rock and soul.

How it works

Nothing is sampled. Blue3 models 91 tonewheels with phase synchronisation, across 31 tonewheel sets based on B-3, C-3, A-100, L-100, CV and M-3 organs, so you can choose the character of a specific vintage instrument. Condition settings add crosstalk, flutter, leakage and noise, and the scanner vibrato/chorus, key click and percussion are all modelled. Upper, lower and pedal manuals are fully polyphonic.

The sound

Convincing and alive, especially through the rotary speaker. Leslie 122 and 147 style cabinets, plus a guitar amp option, come with tube drive, adjustable rotor speeds and movable mic placement. Cherry adds tape echo, spring, plate and hall reverbs and a seven-band EQ. If you play organ parts, this is a lot of instrument for the money. Over 200 presets.
