Relab - Sonsig Rev-A

Sonsig Rev-A is Relab's true-stereo algorithmic reverb, for producers and mixers who want a great-sounding reverb that's quick to dial in. It's not a recreation of one unit: Relab combined the strengths of several classic high-end reverbs with modern filters and modulation.

The design

Rev-A blends classic-style digital reverberation with modulation taken from a complete Solina string-ensemble circuit, which gives its tails a rich, gently moving quality. It's one of the more complex hybrid structures Relab has built, but the panel stays simple, with filters and modulation controls that let you shape the tail without wading through menus.

Rooms, halls and ambiences

Small rooms, lush halls and realistic ambiences are all covered, and over 200 presets from experienced engineers mean you rarely start from scratch.

The sound

Rev-A is lush and smooth, with a slightly dreamy modulation that suits vocals, pads, guitars and synths. It doesn't carry the specific vintage character of the LX480 or the realism of the REV6000, but as a fast, flattering reverb for everyday use it's good value. It pairs with Sonsig ACE in the Sonsig Pro Bundle.
